Essence How to Make Nude Eyes + How to make Smokey Eyes Palettes

Since a couple of months Essence has some pallets in their stock. They are not available everywhere like here in Holland. I haven't seen them anywhere. But when i was in Germany last week i finally found them. From the moment i got the email with the new products for spring 2014 i was curious about the pallets. They have 5 pallets in total, i only bought 2. The How to make nude eyes and the How to make smokey eyes pallets.

The package of the pallets is sweet and very cute in my opinion. They are lovely in your stash. The nude one is pink and light shades, the smokey one is black/grey and darker shaded.

Let's start with the How to make nude eyes pallet. This is the inside, six nude eye shadow colors, a brush and a mirror. Behind the mirror there are card with instructions about looks you can make with this pallet. I forgot to photograph them (stupid me). It includes 2 cards with 4 looks in total.

This is what the inside looked like when i bought it. A plastic layer on top of the eye shadows so they will stay clean during travel.

This is a close up of the eye shadow colors. As you can see there are 2 highlighting colors and 4 darker shaded colors, for crease or eyelid. The thing i notice first are the cute little names every color gets. i love them!

The brush is two sided and not very special, just a normal brush to be included in a pallet.

Here are the swatches i made. Left Row, Bottom to top: Eye Light Nude, Go For Gold and An Eye On Apricot. Right Row, Bottom to top: All About Nude, Nude Night Out and Team Nude.

The How to make smokey eye pallet, also includes a mirror, six dark shaded eye shadows and a brush. Also behind the mirror there are cards with looks.

All the colors are with shimmer. As you can see. I like shimmery colors but a nude one could make the pallet and the eye looks a bit more special. Therefor mat colors are more difficult to use.

In this pallet there are 1 highlighter and 5 darker shades.

Bottom to top: Cool Grey, Silver Star and Black - Out.

Bottom to top: Oh La La Lilac, Glam Up! and Spotlight.

Overall i really like the pallets, they costs €6,99 each. The pigment could be better but for the price they are good. I think you can make a lot of different eye looks with these pallets. The other three pallets that are available are:
- How to make bright eyes pallet
- How to make brows pallet
- How to shape your face pallet
